I was afraid this would be too sad, too scary, or too "kid" to read. While the point of view of a 5 year old was hard to follow in some points, the story was well told. It wasn't gory, and it was just heart wrenching enough. I'd like to believe that if my kids were put in such a situation, they would be able to take care of each other as well. A great read!
