My Body by Emily Ratajkowski

I originally picked up this book because I remembered reading “Buying Myself Back” when it first came out and feeling absolutely devastated by it. That essay is still heartbreaking, as are the other essays in this collection. However, I felt like EmRata didn’t go deep enough with some of them. They seemed to merely skim the surface of the challenges she’s faced in the industry as a woman who is paid to be beautiful. Definitely came off as very white-feminist and its analysis was surface-level at best. Quick read and interesting to hear her POV though.
