Starry Starry Night: A Time Travel Novel by D.K. Till

5.0

D.K. Till’s debut novel Starry Starry Night is an action-packed, suspenseful Christian time-travel novel! I truly did not know what to expect when first reading it. This is a new to me genre. I was blown away - this book was so hard to put down! I’m a huge fan of time-travel novels and this was a unique story compared to all of the other time-travel novels I’ve read. A compelling faith element combined with a little bit of mystery, a little bit of murder, a little bit of intrigue, and a little bit of romance wrapped together to give you an explosive and fun read!

There is so much I want to say about this book but it is hard to write about it without giving away the many plot twists in this novel! D.K. Till does an amazing job of describing and showing us what the future could look like. I was enthralled with her imaginative ideas and loved reading about how life was different in the 2120 timeline!

The romance in this novel is present but light. There are two separate romances in this story, wrapped around our two main female character’s stories. Tree and her boyfriend Glim are already together when they are introduced and you find yourself sucked into the ever-changing dynamic of their relationship. The other relationship is between Paige Ferguson and her husband Kyler Ferguson. They are already married when the story begins and I love reading romance through the lens of those already married! If I had a spice scale of 1 to 5, I would rate the spice of this novel a 1! I loved that the romance was not the overall point of the story even if it does, oddly enough, tie into the main storyline. I felt like it was satisfying and perfectly done!

I’m honestly surprised this book isn’t talked about more. It was such a delightful read, and I’ll be reminiscing about it for some time to come!
