The Dominion of Sin by Alexandra St Pierre

Did not finish book. Stopped at 59%.
I think the magic system is fun and the writing is fine, but I cannot get over the FMC’s age. She is still 17 at this point of the book while having to reassure her (non-specified but clearly ancient) love interest how it’s totally fine she pretends to be his sex slave. I think I could have closed my eyes and aged her up if her voice didn’t read so clearly juvenile. So, I’ll let myself stop at her explaining to the MMC she KNOWS two side characters are into each other because: 
I went to a human high school. I saw this all the time. Boy and girl argue constantly. They tease each other, get into fights. Then next thing you know, they’re shoving their tongues in each other’s mouths at prom.’ 
I just cannot power through knowing there’s got to be a “he’s such a gentleman he waited until I was of age to boink me” in my future. 
Sorry for my heated review. Tons of people left good reviews so it’s probably just not for me.
