I remember when I read this the first time, which was in Swedish. I was instantly blown away and craved the second, the third, the fourth, etc. This was the book series that made me start reading in English as only the two first were out in Swedish back then.
The whole idea of vampyres being marked with a Goddess's mark was something I hadn't yet read or heard of, and as the crazy vampire-freak I am, I was hooked.
This one is probably my absolute favourite of them all - I always think there's something special about the first books, I mean that's where the whole adventure begins. I've read this book three times, twice in Swedish and once in English, and I sort of miss the way they wrote here.
I don't like the more recent ones, it's not written the same and I feel like they're dragging out the story for too long because they realized it's a money-maker.
"Marked" is an amazing book nonetheless, and I will probably re-read it over and over in the future.
