Picture Book. This is a book about the relationship with a girl and her grandmother, who are both named Maud. They have a special connection and get to see each other one-on-one every Saturday. While not every grandchild gets undivided attention from their grandparents, I do have fond memories of sleepovers by myself at my grandmother's house. Just like Maud, I got special food and special TV. I love that Grand-Maud also shares pieces of her own childhood through memories and mementos. It's a soft, calm book with the color palette to match. Very sweet, not a lot of action, but a touching story.
