None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell

5.0

Lisa Jewell runs a master class in making her readers ask two questions:
What did I just read?
How can a sane person write such perfectly insane characters?

This is my second book by Jewell, the first being And Then She Was Gone, another five star thriller.

Josie, mother of two adult children and an aging husband, meets Alex, mother of two young children and a husband with a substance abuse problem in a pub when both women are there celebrating their 45th birthday. After a little light internet stalking on Josie's part, learning Alex to be a well known podcaster, Josie orchestrates a "chance" meeting leading Josie and Alex to set off on recording a podcast about Josie's reinvention of her life.

This absolutely wild ride made up of intensely flawed characters had me riveted. I listened to this book on Audible where I was treated to a full cast of characters, robustness of production during the podcast scenes, and a truly engaging story of these two "birthday twins."

5 out of 5 - highly recommend to my psychological thriller readers of all ages
