“I am a Queen and this is my game.”

LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK. The audio to this book is very good as well. Black girls/women in STEM is so powerful. The cover, title, characters (well some) and the story. Everything. Kiera’s character was such a pleasure to read and i loved seeing her grow. Love me some Steph as well.

No matter if you’re a gamer or not you should find comfort in these pages. Being black and proud. Loving everything about ourselves and having a safe space that is ours. It’s tough sometimes in the gaming world especially when you’re just trying to have. All black players from different backgrounds, professions, cultures and so much more is here. The cards! Omg! Amazing! Like i literally want this game in real life so i can play.

Besides all the beauty of this book. I love the attention it’s brings to the social injustice against when something is for black people vs white people. How it can be the exact same thing but yet somehow we get seen as so much worst. Also this shows how as black women we can not let our black men get away with harming us just to protect them from the system. We all have to care about each other because a lot of these policemen don’t.

Brittney did her thing when writing this and will for sure be in my top readers for 2024.
