This is a very Booker book, if you know what I mean. There is a lot going on but it’s not a plotty boot,, it’s thinky. I didn’t care for it much but I’m having trouble identifying why. The protagonist is interesting, though I would have liked to understand her motivations a little more, particularly in the last quarter of the book.
