Cyrus & Kathrine: I Rooted So Hard for Them! So, Glad they Got Their HEA!
I'm not a stranger to paranormal romance. But this is the first time I'm reading this author, and I must say that I am very impressed!
POST-CLAIM CLARITY is the story of an average woman named Kathrine (Kathy), living like many of us "hand to mouth". Kathy has debt and is barely making ends meet. On her way home from work one night, she is almost kidnapped but saved by a mysterious man that has been watching her. Turns out, this mysterious man is Kathy's mate, named Cyrus.
Drawn to Cyrus by a force she cannot understand or deny, Kathy and Cyrus have a night of passion. What Katy doesn't know is that the actions of Cyrus start a chain of events in her life that introduces her to a world she wasn't aware existed, a world of Mages, Shifters, and Vampires. As Kathy grows closer to a fate she never signed up for, will Cyrus put his own selfishness and trauma aside to be there for Kathy when she needs him?
Author, Keiera Pearson stunned me with this enchanting story! I have read many books on the human/shifter dynamic but never from this particular point of view. Never have I been torn between two characters like I have Cyrus and Kathy. I loved Kathy and her spirit throughout her relationship with Cyrus and my heart ached for her. I also loved Cyrus and as much as I wanted to dislike him for his treatment of Kathy when she needed him, I couldn't. Because trauma effects everyone differently and considering his backstory, his actions were understood.
If you're in the market for a good "grovel to HEA", POST-CLAIM CLARITY, will satisfy your tastes. I loved Kathy and Cyrus as a couple and the tender moments they shared were some of my favorite parts of the book. As the reader, you will definitely root for this couple. Cyrus, in particular as Kathy shows him how to trust and love again. Kathy and Cyrus save each other but in different ways. Their courtship may have been rocky, but their relationship became solid with a good satisfying grovel on Cyrus' end. My eyes misted when they finally received their HEA.
There are other books in this series that I will definitely be checking out. I now have another author to add to my list of "Recommended Reading". I will definitely seek out more of Ms. Pearson's books and hope that they contain this same level of energy and excitement.
