This book is ominous and suffocating. Through the character of Pew, topics of race, humanity, gender, and community are reflected on and challenged.

Each of the characters project their own visions and feelings onto the silent and confused protagonist, which represents some of their deeper fears and insecurities.

I loved this book, I loved the comments on humans / human bodies, nature and religion.

People can use religion as an excuse for almost any action, and the projection of  hefty religious beliefs and expectations can harm most people

Honestly, this book was a dark and contemplative story that I am not dissapointed by. I might not have any interesting takes, but I really enjoyed this novel.
