"Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect" is super fun, smart, and engaging—and dare I say even better than the first in the series?! Ernest's asides may have been a little over the top at times, but it was all part of the experience and I for one loved his hints and commentary. And given how bad I am at guessing mystery endings, his notes didn't give things away in the slightest.

It would be hard to say much at all about the plot without spoiling something, so instead I'll say this: if you like clever mysteries that don't take themselves too seriously or you like Agatha Christie and Anthony Horowitz (or both!), you should definitely give this book a go. It's a well-executed modern take on a classic genre, and it's some of the most fun you can have on a reading journey.

4.5/5 stars, rounded up because WHY NOT HAVE FUN WITH IT.
