The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

2.0

I'm not sure I like this book (hence the two stars), but I'll give the credit where it's due: The narration is very much entertaining.

But the plot?
I'm not convinced. I don't really know where it leads to, maybe the restaurant at the end of the universe, or someplace else?

However, I can appreciate the metaphors and the sense of bizarreness that reminds us about how insignificant we are in the vastness of the whole thing called life. Arthur's house getting bulldozed for the sake of a high road followed by the annihilation of the earth by a higher, more intellectual being was very funny.
