This second installment sends us into their world and how it works. And I love it for that. We saw Faye's struggle with herself, opening her eyes to the truth that she couldn't admit to herself. We saw Rune in a different light as well as Voshki and it broke my heart. I just love how their stories developed in this sequel.

Though, I'll admit I felt strange with Faye's pregnancy in all of this. I don't feel comfortable with pregnancies in dark romances but at least the author tagged it in the triggers. So, it didn't feel like a slap in the face. Also, the kids served a purpose in their story, in their growth. And I'm here for that storytelling. I'm not gonna lie. I love the power that rose inside Faye when it came to her family after what happened to aunt Clara. The changes that they're all going through, (Sadie and Kimber). I do still stand by the fact that Morbid is hiding so many things and could easily become a villain in their story. He's dismissing his daughter a little too much for my taste. The way he approached Faye's kids was given * finally *. I don't think the prophecy of The Eyes has been fulfilled. We'll probably know that by the last and third book. I really enjoyed it all and I wish I could contain myself and not spoil anything for anyone. I need a support group. Thank you for reading this mess.

also fuck the fallen queen of lace and bone.

I will miss the characters and keep up with the author on her social media. Because I need that third book or I'm going to fall into hell myself. Which wouldn't be so bad if Voshki and Vashien are there.

hehehe
