The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
5.0
I enjoyed this book immensely. It was interesting to follow the thoughts of an introvert boy while he is experiencing new things as an adolescent. Protagonist Charlie is brutally honest, very emotional, and above all: REAL. His character was so believable to me that I quickly considered Charlie a personal friend of mine. Someone I want to know and protect from all the darkness in this world. The story he shares with us is a rollercoaster and Charlie shows the reader his weaknesses in the strongest way possible. Chbosky did a great job on all the characters and their backstories. I found them all very believable. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who'd like to read something REAL.
