Embracing the Night by Cora Masters

3.0

I was given an ARC of Embracing the Night by Cora Masters in exchange for an honest review . These are my opinions and I want it noted that I adore this author and am so happy to be able to read their books .
Embracing the night is the third and final book in The Playhouse of Horrors trilogy . Quite the conclusion indeed! Cora Masters keeps you invested and entertained the whole way throughout . It was brutal and filled with shocking plot twists throughout . I liked how they evolved Drake and Dahlia relationship and enjoyed seeing them on the run. I loved seeing the two in Europe and the chaos that ensues . I enjoyed the pacing of the book and how well written it is .
Now onto what I didn't like . I can't go into too much detail without spoilers but there was one plot twist in particular that I felt took me out of the story for a minute . It was such last minute and call back to something from book 2 . I felt like all the shocking plot twists and scenes were stacked into last 20% and it hit one after the other . Some of things a few characters do felt out of character for them to me . Which is why I am not rating this more than 3.75 stars . I do find this to be a great conclusion to the series and enjoyed all of the books in it . I am so grateful to be on the arc team. I do plan to read more by Cora Masters and to read their backlist .
