Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell

3.0

(read as ebook)
This is my first time reading 1984. I've started to read it before, but I don't think I got more than half way through. I can see why this is considered a classic, but I didn't find it very compelling. The book is a bit slow, not much actually happens. Instead, you're hit over the head with the message of how soul crushing and scary this totalitarian society is. I wonder how Orwell would updated this novel taking into account our increased ability to collect and analyze data?
