“I want to sit on this porch with you thirty years from now and look up at the sky and wonder what I did to deserve a life this good.”
Oh Lyla you’ve done it again. These books are peak escapism; I love being at Rebel Blue Ranch so much. First we had brother’s best friend and now we have best friend’s brother?? What more can I ask from a series, honestly?
Lost & Lassoed is the third installment in the Rebel Blue Ranch series. It follows Emmy’s grumpy older brother, Gus, and Emmy’s best friend, Teddy. Teddy finds herself out of a job unexpectedly and agrees to help out Gus with childcare for his daughter Riley a few days a week. And did I mention, Gus and Teddy hate each other’s guts??
Oh I just adore Teddy Anderson; how I love a fierce, feisty FMC. This is certainly in the running for my favorite in the series. If I had to complain about anything I’d say the romance is a little fast/instant for my taste and some parts are a little cringey/wattpad-y. That said I really did love this from start to finish. The romance is delicious. The friendship between Emmy and Teddy is so beautiful and relatable. I can completely understand all the complex feelings Teddy describes in regards to her feeling left out and left behind. The relationship between Teddy and her dad Hank really tugs at your heart strings. The relationship between Teddy and Riley is so damn cute.
Such a sweet story. I will be eagerly awaiting the release of Wild & Wrangled! And yet again, these book covers are ✨everything✨.
“Luke is my fiancé, my partner, my everything. But you're my soulmate, Teddy Andersen, and I'm the luckiest girl in the world because of it.”
