These Witches Don't Burn by Isabel Sterling
4.0
Format: Print
I found this a really easy read and flew through it in a day. I think it’s a really good book for the YA audience. It didn’t completely hit the spot for me as I think some things were missing (it felt a bit like we joined halfway through a story given references to past events that weren’t fully explained) but I did enjoy it and I’m intrigued enough to read the sequel.
Something I really liked was the relationship development, particularly between Hannah and her best friend Gemma.
While I would say this is an easy read, there are some darker themes so it might be worth looking into these and I’ve spoiler tagged some trigger warnings below:
Thank you to my book club for gifting me this book when I was going through a difficult time, although I am glad I didn’t read it at the time given the trigger warnings and what I was going through back then.
