FIVE STARS BABYYYYY! I love to find a new favorite right at the end of the year that upends all my lists. (And I'm reading Becky Chambers next so there may be another.) It's The Traveling Cat Chronicles The Phantom Tollbooth with some added magic that's all its own. I do feel like the cat in this book would get on well with Behemoth from The Master and Margarita, despite their coming from rather different places in literature. Highly recommend. (And now I want to assemble a hypothetical dinner party of literary cats...)
