Femina: A New History of the Middle Ages, Through the Women Written Out of It by Janina Ramírez

4.0

This was a worthwhile read. A little dry in places, but the stories - the lives - of these women were previously unknown to me. It gave me an appreciation for how thoroughly lack of preservation can bury - permanently, or near enough - a person's story. It is through luck and thin threads that some of these stories survive to the 21st century. And they are fascinating.
