Layla by Colleen Hoover
4.0
Okay what an unexpected read this was!
I’ve read a few of Colleen Hoover’s books, with many of hers to read on my bookshelf and I chose this one by random. So I wasn’t actually prepared for the genre but I really really enjoyed the premise of the book. I am interested in the idea of the supernatural generally, and now after reading this I just want to read more books similar to this! It would be interesting to see other author’s takes.
Leeds, as a character, I found to be super unlikeable and I just couldn’t get past this to be honest.
I know that this book has some real mixed reviews which I do find myself influenced by. It is interesting to see different perspectives on this book as there were some real triggering behaviours at points.
I think it was a slow-burn, as it took me a few days to get into it, but by the end I was hooked. Now, which CoHo book next?
4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
