5⭐️ My first actual novel by Holly Jackson (not including kill joy) and I'm obsessed with her writing. I can't wait to pick up her other books!! My first thought without reading the description was that Rachel Price was movie star and she fake her death then reappeared but also seems sketchy, which, to be fair, I was close enough just minus the movie star. The clapper board is what got me, but then when I found out it's a true crime documentary, I was even more intrigued. Either way, this storyline was sooooo good!!!!

In the beginning, the director Ramsey is asking a lot of questions to Bel about how her mother disappeared, what you remember, what the family was like before she disappeared and everytime he ask those question I'm like "sir she was 2. How the fuck would she know the man that took her, where she'd gone to, or anything." It would be a miracle if she did remember. But at last, 16 years later, she has returned.

When Rachel came back home, she started to ask Bel a lot of questions about her life and school stuff and she gets pissed off that she's being questioned all of a sudden and wants her to stop BUUUUUTTTTTTTT when Rachel ask Carter (cousin to Bel) about her life and school she gets jealous???? Like you literally didn't want her to interrogate you yet you wanna bitch about her asking carter stuff. Make it make sense, bel. Which one do you want??
