I put this on hold at the library because some of my favorite reading friends said they loved it. I started it not really knowing what the story was about (typical) and almost stopped when I learned the main character's father had Parkinson's disease, as mine does as well and it felt so close to home.
I'm very glad I stuck it out. This is a wonderful, heartbreaking, beautiful novel.
