4.6 stars.
I am absolutely loving these books.
Things are amping up between Callie and both the Emerson and Tate teams. They’ve started corrupting her very innocent mind, and trying a little harder to woo her.
The plot plateaued a little bit in this one, but it was definitely necessary to get all the good shit packed into this book to fit, and it didn’t completely flatline. Leaving us with just enough action and new information to keep the intrigue and interest up.
I am so in love with all the guys. They’re so playful and sweet.
And Callie is just so innocent from her time away from normal civilization that a huge chunk of what they do for and to her just flies over her pretty little head. Its cute. It’s entertaining.
And the Cardinals seeing all that and keeping it to themselves while also protecting her just makes it even better.
Love the dynamic between all the characters and Callie.
I knocked off the points this time for the same thing as last time. There is zero sex in this book as well. Disappointing as that was, I am actually really loving how slow they’re letting this romance burn. It’s incredibly sweet that they’re all easing her into things.
I just cross my fingers and hope that the next book takes things a little less PG.
We didn’t even get to read about an actual kiss yet, so I better at the very least get That.
