Circe by Madeline Miller
5.0
Quite possibly the best example of the growing "myths but as novels" genre. Miller's book doesn't just mark the titular witch's convergences with various figures from Greek mythology (including Daedalus, the minotaur, Jason of Argonauts fame, and of course Odysseus), but crafts them into a detailed character study that actually ends up being about something - namely, the incontrovertible nature of self.
