I read this book as my beginning to reading (via a local book club). Although it was something I would have probably chosen for myself, I didn’t really enjoy the book. I’m aware it was based on true events but the way this was written makes Carolyn seem full of herself but also stupid at the same time which I’m sure she is not.
I’m not going to say that I don’t understand how someone can be taken in the way she was as I know it happens more than we think.
Overall it was a good book to display the warning sides of an abusive and fake relationship and gives people red flags to look out for but I don’t think I will be reading it again.
