Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

It's been such a long time since I found a book so chock-full of lovable, interesting, engaging characters. The worldbuilding was so good, too, and without it becoming too overwhelming. Kaz was the perfect protag who never swayed to far into the anti-hero or the victim category either way. I mean, all the characters were just so well written. Their interactions with each other were so raw and readable. I really felt myself rooting for this ragtag team of broken people, each with deep, deep flaws and their own goals. I really have no complaints.

Even as far as romance goes, this book nailed it. There was no forced relationships and everything built up over time and after a certain amount of trust or story was there first. Ugh. It was all so good and I can't wait to read the next!
