How Long 'til Black Future Month is an incredibly strong collection of short stories. I would 100% recommend it, especially if you enjoy science fiction. There is just so much to love here!

This collection was such a different experience than most of the anthologies I read. Rather than having one or two stories that act as a highlight, the entire collection was consistently good. Jemisin has a fantastic talent for creating a compelling short story and there are so many unique concepts in this book that I just love how her mind works. I found myself pulled into each story. I particularly loved Valedictorian and Walking Awake, but I think a lot of the stories are going to stick with me.
