This is a murder mystery with a supernatural aspect to it. Eddie and April are newly married and road tripping to their honeymoon destination when they stop to pick up a woman on the side of the road. When they realize she’s been stabbed they rush her to the hospital. When she dies, they become the suspects in her murder. But it’s not just her murder. There have been a lot of murders on that road going on for decades and it all started with one girl. This was a ride. There were some tense moments where I could barely breathe and trying to untangle all the background with Eddie and April to figure out how it all related was a treat. Then there was precious Robbie. You never “meet” him per se but he is delightful. The Snell sisters were comedic relief but also would be amazing characters to follow. They help solve this case. Overall, I loved the relationship between Eddie and April. Neither think themselves worthy and in the end their love is what ultimately gets them through to safety and freedom. I highly recommend!
