What I Thought...

• Biggest Flirt was my first Jennifer Echols book, but I knew it wouldn't be my last. I loved the writing and that the characters were more real teenager, less "ideal" teenager. Perfect Couple definitely has both of those things that I loved.

• Harper comes from a messed up family. Her parents have been almost divorced for several years, argue with each other and put Harper in the middle. This makes her quite and someone who avoids conflict and confrontation, which also leads to her boring relationship with Kennedy, who is "perfect" for her.

• I hated Kennedy with a burning passion from the get go. He was a jack ass to pretty much everyone and incredibly self centered. I was not at all sad to see that relationship come to an end.

• Brody is nothing like Kennedy. He's not at all what Harper would expect for herself, which is why he is so good for her. He also cares about her and puts her first, unlike Kennedy the jerk.

• Harper and Brody are brought together as the Perfect Couple That Never Was. Once they get that title they start to notice each other more and it's super cute.

• I did have one issue with Perfect Couple.
SpoilerWhen they are voted PCTNW they are both seeing someone else. Harper is with Kennedy and Brody is casually with another girl. They have a minor hook up with each other before officially ending it with either Kennedy or the other girl. And this bothers me. It's just not something I particularly care for in books. They way it's written doesn't make it too bad (Kennedy and the girl (I really can't remember her name) are painted as not great people), but still I expected more from Harper. She's not the type of girl to kiss another boy when she's dating a different one. Brody and the girl's relationship was a bit different and more casual so it bothered me a little less than Harper and Kennedy.
This is an issue for me though, and not everyone will be bothered by it like I was.

• Watching Harper and Brody coming together and figure out that their relationship and feelings doesn't have to like there parents was adorable. I also really liked that Brody got Harper to come out of her shell and stand up for herself and not just be a wallflower.

Overall I really enjoyed Perfect Couple and I am beyond excited to read Most Likely to Succeed!
