I truly enjoyed the writing and backdrops throughout this novel. The main protagonist was well-developed and I enjoyed following him around the world. I've been to many of the countries mentioned in the book and I loved how the cultures that I knew were captured. I appreciate the perseverance, and at times defense, of hope throughout the novel.
