This book totally made me realize I was a lesbian when I thought 'wow, Mare Barrow can electrocute me and I wouldn't complain.'

Besides that, this is the book that really got me into fantasy and I will never forget it for that. But why do people like Cal? Or Maven? They can catch my hands any day of the week. Honestly, Mare might be dumb but in my opinion, she deserves better. I think I'm letting some of my bitterness from King's Cage seep in, but hey. Maven sucks.
