Princess Floralinda and the Forty-Flight Tower by Tamsyn Muir
Did not finish book. Stopped at 11%.
I quite enjoyed the beginning with its fantastical tone and good girl princess, though the mention of hotels' revolving doors did throw me off, but I'm starting to learn that Tamsyn Muir is full of anachronisms from the other reviews. It being 4 AM in the morning and having read several other Tamsyn Muir short stories and discovering that she does, in fact, commit to her horror in ways I need to stop disregarding and just assuming I can read, I scrolled through the other reviews to see if I should section it up by chapter or read it all in one go. Long story short, the reviews told me I would not, in fact, like or survive the book because I'm not someone who enjoys horror and unhappy endings . It truly was fun while it lasted, but I'm going to spare myself the mental trauma.
Graphic: Kidnapping
