There were more characters than I could keep straight (including about 50 different names for the same person), and a lot of the book had flavors of other books rather than something purely original. The worldbuilding needed work. Coding Charlie as fat but making her a scant size 14 made me grouchy. I also found the book kind of slow and lacking momentum…and yet somehow I find my overall opinion of the book was that I really liked it.
