The Octunnumi Fosbit Files Prologue by Trevor Alan Foris

5.0

I been having a hard time to decide if I should do spoilers or not, since it has a beautiful theme of secret society but I can’t help it but talk about the details.

The book is witty and lighthearted with it’s action parts. I absolutely love the idea that the protagonists are twins and their interactions solidify it, they might look the same but definitely very different personalities. It is genius that the author is actually part of the story and not only the teller of said story. The author is most definitely not shy with aesthetics and description of places well done by the writer. I was able to picture everything, slight details like hand gestures and mentions of emotions makes the experience so worthwhile. It feels like you are reading reports of the situation and Nate? Marvelous, someone so deeply tied to the Octunnumi and that has lost so much it’s a great character. It does make me question if there’s no way for the user to be protected from outside connections, I know they have powers they train to work with but never thought about things that would protect the users? But nonetheless later on the pages it does get interesting on to the strategies and it is a bit sad to see that the Octunnumi is being undermined. Reig is a golden retriever, you can’t convince me otherwise. I completely enjoy the book
