The first book in this series really blew me away, sadly this book wasn’t nearly as good as “The Lightning Thief”. The story was kind of slow and predictable while I feel like nothing big happened until the very end.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of how they kind of bullied Tyson even though you “understood why” after. I also hate when fat equals bad, stupid or evil in books, it makes no sense.

I didn’t quite understand Luke in this book. In the prequel he seemed to care a lot about Thalia but now he risks her tree = her dying, to help Kronos?

All in all it was an enjoyable read and the writing was amazing.
