A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik

5.0

This book was SO much fun to read.

✅ Dark academia
✅ A character destined for darkness fighting to be good
✅ Enemies to friends
Spoiler(to lovers?)

✅ Great worldbuilding and interesting magic system
✅ Quests, alliances, adventure!

This book reminded me of another of my favorite reads from this year, [b:Ninth House|43263680|Ninth House (Alex Stern #1)|Leigh Bardugo|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1553102141l/43263680._SY75_.jpg|53348200]. A Deadly Education falls into the YA category, whereas Ninth House is a significantly darker and more adult read. However, both of these books lured me in with their morally grey protagonists and dark academic settings.
