50 years ago in a church in NYCs West Village, Dan Cheifetz was able to bring together a diverse group of children to participate in an improv theater workshop. This book recounts some of these amazing experiences. My son has been doing improv comedy since he was 7 and I've seen first-hand how profound, ponderous, and downright hilarious children can be when they are given a big space to play. In this excellent book, Cheifetz confirms what I've long believed: when we see children, we see ourselves and when we free children, we free ourselves. This book is hard to find, but if you get your hands on it I highly recommend it!
