I really liked this graphic novel but it does feel like fury porn. However, the environment and society is an excellent commentary on issues of race (presented through the different species), as well as, illustrating the awful circumstances of a government that subscribes to homophobia. So in summary, don't discount it based on the cover or the racy depictions within the first few pages.
