Whispers in the Dark by Delilah Croww
4.0
Whispers in the Dark is one of those books in which you question real or fantasy right along with the FMC. Alice has been hearing noises in her home since she moved in as a child. Her mother and step-father have labeled her unstable and treated her as such. Now Alice has turned 18, and the noises have taken on a more physical (read: intimate) presence.
I spent so much of the book trying to figure out who wore the mask. I needed to know. The author did a great job of throwing out red herrings and multiple possibilities. I loved the reveal!!
I would have given this novella 5 stars, but the ending was a little weird. I felt like it diminished the story, yet I know that was not the author's intention. Obviously, it didn't bother me too much since I'm looking forward the the best friend's book next!
