I enjoyed Bookshops & Bonedust, but it didn’t give me the full 5 ⭐️ effect like Legends and Lattes. I think where I feel off the immersion and investment on this story was the last 10 (or so) chapters, which to me felt like an attempt to put some high fantasy elements to the story. Not to say that’s bad, and it probably worked for most readers but I was really into the cozy elements of the book and was hoping to keep that feeling all the way through to the end, so the change in pace / acceleration in the plot through me off guard a bit and was hard to make the transition. I will say the epilogue was wonderfully done, loved the tie to legends and lattes and made the jarring transition worth the finish. I’m still excited to see what else Travis Baldree comes out with!
