This was SO good and engaging. The chemistry, tension and spice between Kyrie and Jack was so so hot. There was so much tension and when things heated up..oh my Goddd. You didn’t know if they were going to kill each other or fuck from one moment to the next and it was just so..unpredictable and fun. The banter between them is just so good.

This is my first time reading Trisha Wolfe, but Brynne Weaver (and the two of them combined) writes such amazingly unhinged characters (in the best way possible). This is a DARK book, but I was laughing, I was emotional, I was invested. I mean at one point one of them casually waves a pair of severed hands at the other while they’re arguing. This is super dark and literally about rival serial killers, but I had so much fun reading this. Is that weird to say?

Tropes/Highlights:
  • Rival 🥣💀
  • Rivals/enemies-to-lovers
  • Touch her & 💀 (& vice versa)
  • Age gap (7 years)
  • Jacob’s 🪜
  • Academic setting
  • Witty banter
  • Dual POV

This is DARK and contains a lot of potentially triggering scenarios, so please check TWs/CWs before reading.

I received this as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
