I clearly picked the wrong book for my first Lisa Kleypas.
Though in concept this book sounded amazing, we have a selfish hero at the center, and a woman who gives in too easily to his manipulative ways. I know that most of this author's books don't go down like this, so I have not lost faith.
With that said, this one is a hard pass from me.
