This book kind of reminded me of Scream 3 where Sydney is living in isolation after the murders that took place in Scream 1 and 2. Our main character, Tessa, has been through it as the sole survivor of a murder spree and has decided to go back to the scene of the crime to face her fears. The plot is a bit insane because who would do that??? BUT ignoring how wacky it is the entire story did have me hooked. I was trying to figure out plot twists and who the culprit was and how it tied into everything that happened in the past. The pacing was really well done because there weren’t a lot of shocking reveals or plot twists into the end, but I was still very immersed in the story. A great thriller made even better with really short chapters.
