Delilah Green Doesn't Care by Ashley Herring Blake

4.0

This book embodied the message of the classic song, “You’ll Always Find Your Way Back Home” from the iconic Hannah Montana Movie. This book had such a wholesome nature in its entirety. Delilah was such a complex character and I loved being in her head for most of the book. Her relationship with Astrid was made to be simple at first with Delilah thinking that her sister thought she was better than her and not worth her time. But Delilah slowly realizing that it was so much more complicated was so well crafted by the author. That scene between Astrid and Delilah during the gallery was such a heartfelt moment that showed the growth that these two experienced. Delilah and Claire being almost polar opposites made for such a cute pairing but both of them wanting to be loved but being so scared to open up with another person made my heart break for them. The romance was everything I hoped for. Delilah finally finding her place in and being able to actually feel at home in Bright Falls made my little heart sing.
