This books felt as if I was holding my breath for the entire read, only the break down in tears as I finished the last line. A harrowing read but I was sucked in from the start- I finished it in a day. Made my skin crawl but I couldn’t stop reading, like watching a gore scene in a horror film my eyes couldn’t keep away. I ended up loving Vanessa even through she was quite unlikable and in denial for most of the book.
