I'm not sure why I didn't like The Broken Eye as much as The Blinding Knife. Maybe I'm burnt out of reading at the moment, but reading Lightbringer 3 felt like a chore. I was always intellectually intrigued, but never emotionally engaged. I always wanted to know what happened next, but I was never connected to the characters.

I am hesitant to pursue the next novel, not because The Broken Eye was bad, but because I've only heard negative things about the Last 2 books. Guess we shall see.
