This was a book that had so much potential, I liked the sound of the premise and I loved the cover. I just didn't love the execution, and while I can certainly see why other people have enjoyed it, for me it felt too generic and there wasn't enough spark to the plot or characters to match the promise of the premise. And I felt that the romantic elements were just too heavy-handed for me to every really get a handle on the characters beyond that aspect.
