I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It took me a bit to get into it but once the plot started coming together and the relationships between characters started growing I was hooked! I really liked how “low fantasy” this story was but that it didn’t lower the stakes of the story at all. The slow burn romance was also great, though I did yell “JUST KISS ALREADY!” many times during the last 3/4 of the book. All in I had so much fun reading this book and have immediately started the second one because I have to know what happens next!
